Prior to joining Pacific Smiles, Phil was Chief Executive Officer for Audiology Management Group (AMG), a leading audiology services business with a network of more than 200 clinic locations across the USA. During his time at AMG, Phil balanced and transitioned the model from acquisition-driven to greenfield expansion and delivered strong financial performance for the group. Prior to his role as CEO of AMG, Phil was CEO of Widex Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and India retail where he successfully turned around and grew those operations. Phil has also held leadership positions at Apple Retail as Australian Market Director and was a driver of Apple’s retail entry into the Australian market from 2008 to 2011, and Luxottica as National Operations Manager from 2005 to 2007.

An experienced leader with extensive finance and commercial experience, Matthew’s career over more than 20 years has spanned chartered accounting, investment banking and corporate roles. Most recently Matthew was Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Healius Limited, a leading ASX listed healthcare company, where he was responsible for the company’s strategic business development, growth and capital raising activities. During his tenure at Healius, Matthew was instrumental in redesigning the model for investments and was a member of the Finance Transformation Committee.

Paul’s career has focused around senior operational management roles in private healthcare facilities. He has managed a number of private hospitals of varying sizes providing a wide range of medical services. In particular Paul has specialised in managing transition and operation of newly acquired facilities. With a background in finance Paul has also overseen group wide corporate functions as well as significant involvement in multi disciplinary project teams.

Co-founder of Pacific Smiles Group, Alison’s background is in dental assisting and clinical dentistry. After attaining the Certificate in Dental Assisting, Alison went on to graduate from the University of Sydney as a Dental Practitioner in 1992. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field, Alison brings both practical and theoretical knowledge to her role as PD & SM where she provides professional input and support to independent practitioners who base their practices in PS Dental Centres. Alison is a member of the Australian Dental Association.

With over 20 years’ experience, Emma is a commercially astute business leader with extensive HR knowledge. An outcome focussed professional, Emma has a seasoned record of achievement, demonstrating tangible successes through capability, leadership and drive. Emma is a trusted and respected HR leader, strategist and change agent – adept at aligning HR strategies, programs and structures to deliver business results. With experience gained across HR operations in small, medium and large companies, Emma is confident operating in both publicly listed and privately owned business environments – traversing roles from frontline management through to national and executive level and board directorships.

Ciara is a marketing communications leader with 20 years’ experience in utilities, retail, automotive, financial and non-profit industries. She has proven success in setting and implementing business, sales, product, marketing and brand strategies; meeting budgeted revenue and exceeding customer service targets.

Managing change, driving innovation and growing customer support for new businesses and initiatives is Ciara’s passion. She has previously held senior positions at Hunter Water, Commonwealth Bank and the NRMA.

Chris Travers
Chris TraversExecutive Manager, Property Services
Chris has over 15 years’ experience in the property sector, with a demonstrated ability to lead successful teams and deliver on key business plan initiatives. He has extensive experience in asset management, asset positioning, strategic business planning, and building and leading high performing teams.  He has worked with REIT’s QIC and most recently Stockland where he was employed for over 12 years in various Property Management positions.  Chris has successfully led teams through two retail redevelopments including the major $421m project at Green Hills delivering over 250 stores.

With widespread knowledge of both property and retail, Chris is confident in driving positive outcomes through his keen passion for individual leadership and team development. Prior to Chris transitioning to property, he was a Professional Golfer for 15 years where he played both domestic and international tours as well as operating his own golf business for a number of years.

John O'Connor
John O'ConnorChief Information Officer
John joins Pacific Smiles Group with over 20 years experience in technology delivering strategic initiatives in large and complex organisations. He has proven success in all areas of technology with a strong focus on enterprise solution architecture and business critical projects.

Driving technology strategy and enabling business and teams to do so is at the forefront of what John delivers. Prior to joining Pacific Smiles Group John consulted for Colliers International on technology and data and held senior technology positions with Scentre Group (owner and operator of Westfield centres).
